i didnt think so, but i wanted to compare answers. my logic was as you have changed this individuals PHENOTYPE and not GENOTYPE, they wouldn’t have the gene to pass down to their offspring right? Since they aquired this alteration later in life due to outside forces and not internal direction from DNA?
You are correct. However, the concept of inheritance of acquired characteristics was once widely held. You might investigate the life of John Baptiste Lamark who was an avid proponent of this idea. During life he was both admired and criticized. Even Darwin paid attention to his writings.

no. having plastic surgery will not affect your DNA. would an amputee who lost his right leg
have offspring who are missing their right leg?

You are correct, these changes do not affect the genotype and will not be passed down to the next generation.
